Peter De Villiers offers stimulus for Lions
If the Lions class of 2009 wanted extra motivation for their tour to South
Africa, the Springboks coach may inadvertently have provided it yesterday.
No sportsman seeks to be compared unfavourably with the past but Peter de
Villiers, the South Africa head coach, suggested that the Lions who begin
their tour on Saturday will not attain the status of their predecessors of
1974.
