BBC banned offensive Ross, then put him up for a Bafta
His behaviour brought the BBC to the point of meltdown, led to 40,000 public
complaints and cost one of the corporation’s most senior executives her job,
but yesterday Jonathan Ross was shortlisted for a Bafta, one of television’s
leading awards. More surprisingly, he was put forward for the prize by the
BBC — only weeks after it had suspended him.
