When I walk into Sir Christopher and Lady Catherine Meyer’s townhouse on the
Chelsea-Knightsbridge border, there is a bit of a crowd already there:
would-be buyers, or perhaps people curious to meet the diplomat who was our
man in Washington during 9/11. The couple seem perfectly happy to have half
a dozen strangers wandering around — as the British ambassador in DC, Meyer
had to entertain 35,000 visitors each year.
