Llandrindod Wells in mid-Wales, known for its Victorian spa and its lush
surrounding countryside, has a new claim to fame. It is the only postal
district where there have been no £1 million-plus property sales since 1994.
By contrast, in Bath, that other spa town, there have been 224 such
transactions. It comes as no surprise, however, that southwest London can
boast the greatest number of homes sold for seven-figure sums. Since 1994,
11,044 of this kind of pad have changed hands in Belgravia, Fulham and
Clapham.
