Mind the gap: The perils of failing to keep pace with your child online

10-to-13-year- old children in morning assembly. “Who here has been bullied

“How many of you can hack through internet filters?” Ten hands. “Who helps
their parents work the computer?” A forest of hands. “Who here has a mobile
phone or a games console or an MP3 player?” All the hands shoot up again.
“Who has ever been asked by a teacher to use these to help with their school
work?” A couple of hands rise.
