Mulberry creative director: There's more to life than waiting two years for a handbag
No one knows for sure exactly when it happened. Perhaps historians will
pinpoint it one day, when they’ve finished picking over the causes of the
First World War. But at some point a few years back, every girl worth her
fashionable salt realised she had – or needed, urgently – a Mulberry
handbag. It might have been the multipocketed Roxanne, or the exuberantly
fabulous Mabel, but whenever and whichever it was, the venerable Somerset
firm suddenly became cool.
