Mothers and daughters have traditionally dressed very differently; how
connected are your styles?
Yasmin: I had my daughters young [the first at 24] so I feel very close
in age and there isn’t an obvious style barrier — though there probably
should be! I actually think that young people are more conservative these
days. It’s difficult for them to find something that’s their own. I came
from a generation that wanted to break some rules.
Amber: Mummy has influenced all three of us. The most important lesson
she’s taught me is to make an effort when I go out. If I’m just seeing
friends I don’t care, but I’ll always look nice for a special event.
